Tri-State All Star Series 2011 Campaign to Kick Off with South Carolina Winter Nationals
(Carnesville, GA) The 2011 Tri-State All Star Series will open 2011 with the second running of the Ultramax ‘South Carolina Winter Nationals’ February 19th at Wheel Crazy Kartway in Johnsonville, SC. The six race series season opener will headline with a $6,000 to win/$10,000 guaranteed purse in Pro Box Stock and $1,000 to win guaranteed in Senior Stock. A large contingent of Tri State competitors are expected to converge on the Wheel Crazy Kartway to do battle.
The Michael Stone owned and operated facility will play host to the Tri-State All Star Series for only the second time ever. Last year’s first visit drew 89 entries in Pro Box Stock, thus setting the stage for this year’s event. “With so many entries last year, we figured it couldn’t be a bad idea to offer a great purse this year in Box Stock” stated series owner Troy Duncan. Pro Box Stock will feature a $6,000 top prize with a $10,000 overall guaranteed purse with no kart minimum. The feature event will be 50 laps. There will be two twenty-five lap segments with a pit stop in the middle. There will also be a non qualifiers race for those not transferring into Pro Box Stock feature paying $500 to win.
2011 will mark the return of Senior Stock to the Tri-State series. For the first time since 2008, the older generation drivers will be able to compete in their own respected class. Any driver over the 40 year old mark will be eligible to compete in senior stock, and any ‘non-pro’ driver between 35 and 39 will also be allowed to compete. Clone engines will be utilized for the duration of 2011 in Senior Stock. 380# will be minimum weight for Senior Stock. $1000 to win guaranteed has been posted in Senior Stock.

Any driver over the 40 year old mark will be eligible to compete in senior stock, and any ‘non-pro’ driver between 35 and 39 will also be allowed to compete. Clone engines will be utilized for the duration of 2011 in Senior Stock. 380# will be minimum weight for Senior Stock. $1000 to win guaranteed has been posted in Senior Stock.
The Ultramax South Carolina Winter Nationals were originally scheduled as a two day event however, Tri State officials decided to condense the two days into a single day of racing action. “We feel that a one day show is more feasible and easier on teams and the series.” Commented Duncan.
In addition to Pro Box Stock and Senior Stock, a full slate of Tri State divisions will be on the card. This includes: Chase’n Race’n Illustrated Kids Karts, Purple Lite, Blue Lite, Gold Lite, Purple Heavy, Blue Heavy, Gold Heavy, Pro Blue, Pro Gold, Animal Heavy ($1000 to win), Stock Medium, Pro Stock ($1000 to win), Senior Champ light, Stock Super Heavy, Animal Meduim, Limited Modified, and Senior Champ Heavy.
Parking will be available on Friday February 18th. Gates will open at 6PM and close at 9PM.Reserved parking spots are available for $25. Sponsorship packages are available that feature premium parking spots in all Tri-State sanctioned races for 2011. All racers are encouraged to take advantage of parking on Friday.
