Carolina 120 Speedway management & crew wish to Thank everyone who attended the Tri State Alternate Race on June 26, 2010. We had a real good crowd of spectators and almost 150 entries. Not bad for todays standards considering the state of our economy. The track was in excellent condition thanks to Gene Sides and the 120 crew. Take a look at the heavy race on U Tube, with almost 100 degree temperatures the night race was a good call by Troy Duncan and the Tri State Staff. No dust, the track did at times get dry on the outside of the groove but passing wasn't a problem on this super wide track and the racing was awesome. We did have a melt down in one of our main breaker boxes due to the fact that the track hasn't been ran in some time and with the heat and continuous load on the power box we lost power for about 30 min. Thank you to everyone that helped with the problem. We would have completed racing around midnight if not for the power problem. Thanks to Firestone and Louis Dowell for their commitment to kart racing and being part of the Tri State Series. A big Thank You to all the karters who represented theirselves as professionals, treated our staff with respect and helped keep our race track clean. I hope each and everyone of you had a good time and got home safely.
Yawll come back now ya hear!!!
